What Attio is

Attio is a CRM that you shape around your own pipeline rather than fitting your work to a fixed sales template. Records, reports and automations are built inside the app, and a developer platform with an MCP server, a REST API and an SDK sits behind them for anything the interface does not cover. The Free plan costs $0 per user per month and covers three seats and 50,000 records, with real-time contact syncing and automatic data enrichment included. Plus is $35 per user per month billed annually or $44 billed monthly, for ten seats and 250,000 records. Pro is $79 annually or $99 monthly, removes the seat cap entirely and holds a million records. Enterprise is quoted individually and billed annually. Annual billing is stated to save 20 percent. The tiers also meter the things a team does daily. Outbound email is capped at 200 messages a month on Free and 1,000 on Plus, then uncapped on Pro and Enterprise. Reports are limited to three on Free, 15 on Plus and 100 on Pro. Free and Plus connect one email and calendar account per user, Pro allows two and Enterprise three or more, which matters for anyone working out of more than one mailbox. Workflows and Sequences are included on every plan, Free included. A workflow can be triggered by a record change, a schedule, a webhook or a manual run, and supports loops, branches and fallbacks. Custom JavaScript blocks are available, as are calls out to MCP connections and the Attio App SDK. Prebuilt agent blocks cover web research, scoring, routing, enrichment, prospecting and churn risk. Two details matter once these are running unattended: every run is recorded and any individual run can be paused and rerun, and blocks inherit the permissions of the user who runs them, so an automation cannot quietly read more than its operator can. Reporting covers line, bar, pie and funnel charts plus geospatial maps, and reports can be grouped and drilled into for closer inspection. Dashboards can be built by several teammates at once, in real time, rather than passed around for edits. Ask Attio is the built-in AI interface for searching and creating records, and Call Intelligence records and analyses meetings inside the CRM rather than in a separate notetaker, which keeps the call and the record it relates to in one place.

Marketing, sales and support working from one contact record, which is the whole argument for it: no syncing between three systems that disagree. Email, landing pages, forms, pipelines, ticketing and reporting are included. The free CRM is real and widely used; costs climb steeply as contact counts and add-ons grow, and that is the thing to model before committing.

Prospect data and sequencing in the same place you send from, so research, list-building and outreach are not three tools. A large contact database with filters, verified emails, sequences, dialling and engagement tracking. Data accuracy varies by region and industry, worth testing on your own segment before committing.

Deal-stage CRM a small sales team can run without an administrator. The pipeline view is the product: deals move through stages, activities are scheduled against them, and the reporting answers what is stuck and where. Deliberately simpler than the enterprise suites, which is exactly why teams choose it.

Paid

Support inbox, help centre and an AI agent that resolves a meaningful share of conversations before a human sees them. Messenger, tickets, articles and automation share one workspace, so an answer written once serves the article, the bot and the reply. Sold on deflection rate; priced accordingly, with resolution-based billing for the agent.

Issue tracking fast enough that people keep it up to date, which is the only property that matters in a tracker. Keyboard-first, opinionated about cycles and projects, and deliberately short on configuration. Popular with product teams who found the alternatives slow and over-configurable. If your process needs heavy customisation, that opinionation is a poor fit.

Builds, tests and documents an API without writing a client first. Collections capture requests with environments and variables, tests run in CI through Newman, and mock servers stand in for endpoints that do not exist yet. Documentation generates from the collection, which is how it stays current. Ubiquitous enough that a Postman collection is a normal way to hand over an API.

Freemium

A spreadsheet that grew a schema, views and an API. Fields have types, records link to records across tables, and the same data appears as a grid, kanban, calendar or gallery. Automations and interfaces sit on top. It is where a lot of internal tooling starts, and per-seat pricing is where a lot of it stops.

Freemium

Deploys a frontend by pushing to a branch, with a preview URL for every pull request, the workflow most React teams now expect by default. Built by the maintainers of Next.js, which it supports first and best. Edge functions, analytics and image optimisation are included. Costs are predictable until traffic is not, and bandwidth is the line to watch.

Freemium

Interface design in the browser with everyone in the same file, which is what displaced the previous generation of desktop tools. Components and variants keep a design system consistent, auto-layout makes frames respond like real containers, and Dev Mode gives engineers measurements and generated CSS. Prototyping, commenting and version history are built in, so review happens where the work is.

Managed vector search, so retrieval stops being an operational problem. You upsert embeddings with metadata and query by similarity with filters, and the indexing, sharding and scaling are handled. Serverless indexes bill on usage rather than provisioned pods. The decision is nearly always this against pgvector: a managed service that scales, or one less system to run.

Freemium

Documents, databases and wikis in one workspace that bends to whatever shape a team wants, which is both the appeal and the risk. The same primitives make a meeting note, a project tracker, a CRM or a public site. Teams that agree on structure get a system of record; teams that do not get a sprawl nobody maintains.

Freemium

Workflows where every step can just be code. Connect a trigger, then write Node, Python, Go or Bash with managed authentication for the services you call, no credential handling of your own. Pre-built components cover the common cases. Suits developers who want the plumbing solved and the logic left alone.
