What changed here, newest first. The 5 entries marked Policy are changes to what we promise, those carry a decision record, because a directory that quietly edits its own rules is the thing we claim not to be.

  1. PolicyD-065

    Domain verification removed; Verified now means claimed, confirmed and embedded

    DNS records and file uploads are friction on the one path that matters for the next six months. Verified now means the listing is claimed, the email is confirmed, and our widget is live on the product's own site, which proves the same control and produces a link while doing it.

    Free listings require our widget; paid listings do not

    The free tier pays with a reciprocal link instead of money. Every paid tier removes the requirement, publishes immediately and skips the review queue. Removing the widget later downgrades a listing to nofollow and never deletes it.

    The legal set is published

    Terms, privacy, refunds, DMCA and grievance, each with a version table. The privacy page names every processor with its region and retention, because 'we may share data with service providers' is not a disclosure.

    We sell dofollow links, and the link policy now says so first

    Paid tiers include a dofollow link, granted by an editor on approval and never by a payment event, and revocable. The page that explains this opens with the sale rather than burying it, and keeps Google's own spam-policy language on the risk we are accepting.

    Launches are daily and capped at 18 slots

    Five free, ten Launch, three Featured, live at 08:00 UTC, with the first six hours in randomised order. Weekly and monthly leaderboards remain as roll-ups over the daily archive, and the weekly award badge is the rarer of the two.

  6. PolicyD-064

    Paid placement still never enters the ranking score

    Reaffirmed rather than relaxed while everything around it changed. Continuous integration fails the build if the ranking module can import the payments module.

  7. Fixed

    The Discover and Best of menus collapsed to unreadable columns

    A vendor utility was overriding the panel width at every breakpoint the menu actually renders at, so three columns shrank to about a pixel each.

    The design system

    Forty-five primitives, forty-two catalogue components, five layout shells, and the gate set that keeps them honest, design tokens, colour contrast, component documentation, and a JavaScript budget per route.

Decision records like D-062 and ADR-017 live in the repository alongside the code they explain, so a reversal is a dated commit with an author rather than an edit nobody can see. Superseded decisions are marked, never deleted.
