About Sentry
Sentry captures application errors and performance data from code running in production. An error report includes a stack trace that shows the values of local variables at each frame, so the state that produced the failure is visible without reproducing it locally, and breadcrumbs record the sequence of events that led up to it.
Distributed tracing links a single request across every service and function call it touches, with the SDK sampling rate set through tracesSampleRate. From that data Sentry detects performance problems on its own, including N plus 1 queries, slow database calls and uncompressed assets. Logs can be filtered on structured attributes such as a customer id rather than by matching raw strings.
Session Replay covers web frameworks and mobile through React Native, Android, iOS and Flutter, and flags rage clicks and dead clicks where a user taps an element that does not respond. It masks all text, inputs and media by default before a recording leaves the user's browser. Release Health reports crash free session rates, adoption per version and failure rate.
