Copy.ai vs Jasper
Both are writing tools. Here is what separates them.
What Copy.ai is
Copy.ai is a content and workflow platform aimed at go-to-market teams. It is assembled from named components: Workflows, Actions, Agents, Tables, Chat, Infobase and Brand Voice, so a piece of copy can come out of a chat prompt or out of a repeatable pipeline that runs the same steps every time. Brand Voice analyses example content and applies the result to later output; the vendor recommends feeding it a minimum of 300 words to work from. Infobase holds reference material that gets pulled into a prompt by tagging an entry with the hash symbol, so product facts and positioning do not have to be retyped into every request. An agent can be trained from as few as three example pieces of content and requires no coding. The platform is model agnostic, routing to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and Perplexity rather than committing to one supplier. More than 2,000 integrations are listed, among them Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Zapier, Outreach and Salesloft, which puts it next to the sales and marketing systems the content is usually written for. Pricing splits sharply between the entry plan and everything above it. Chat is $29 per month, or $24 per month paid annually at $288 per year, and includes five seats with unlimited words and unlimited chat projects. The higher plans are priced for deployment rather than for individuals: Growth is $1,000 per month with 75 seats and 20,000 workflow credits, Expansion is $2,000 per month with 150 seats and 45,000 credits, and Scale is $3,000 per month with 200 seats and 75,000 credits. Credit consumption varies with the complexity of the task being run, so the credit figure is a budget rather than a fixed count of jobs. Self-serve plans can be moved up or down at any time with a prorated adjustment. Enterprise is quoted rather than published, and adds unlimited users, audit logs, data loss prevention and single sign-on. On data handling, Copy.ai holds AICPA SOC 2 certification, states GDPR compliance and supports single sign-on. It states that it holds zero-retention data agreements with the major LLM providers it routes to, does not train models on customer data, does not share customer prompts and does not sell customer data. Enterprise onboarding is structured around a Day 1 kickoff, testing in Week 1 and production at Day 15.
What Jasper is
Jasper is a marketing platform for producing copy and images at volume while keeping the output inside one brand's voice. The workspace is split into named surfaces: Canvas, Grid, AI Studio, Jasper Chat, Content Pipelines and Image Pipelines. A content pipeline moves through five stages called Plan, Create, Adapt, Activate and Optimize, so a piece is carried through reworking and distribution rather than stopping at a first draft. Both paid tiers include more than 100 pre-built marketing agents, among them named Optimization, Personalization, Research and Translation agents. Image generation is included on both plans alongside image editing and background removal, and Jasper supports more than 30 languages. Those named agents line up with the pipeline stages, so research, translation and optimisation happen next to the drafting rather than in separate tools. Pro costs $59 per seat per month billed yearly, or $69 billed monthly, and covers a single seat. Its ceilings are the thing to check before committing: 2 brand voices, 3 audiences and 5 multi-modal knowledge assets. That fits one company with a main brand and perhaps a second line. An agency holding several client brands, or a team that wants to load a large library of reference material, will run out of room quickly. Business is quoted rather than list priced and carries a 12 month minimum commitment. It removes the caps on brand voices, knowledge assets and audiences entirely, and it is the only tier that includes API access, SSO and SAML, the Style Guide feature, the no code builder for creating custom agents, and a dedicated account manager. That split is worth reading closely, because anything involving programmatic use, enterprise identity or a written style standard enforced across a team sits behind a sales conversation rather than a card payment. Outside the main application, Jasper ships a Chrome browser extension, public APIs including image APIs, and an MCP server, and advertises more than 1,000 integrations and extensions. The company states SOC 2 compliance and encrypted data protection. A 7 day free trial is available before either plan.
